Those of you who have read the bit that came with my second movie, "P. Mario Fortress Assault", may recall that I mentioned something called "ReC", and how I might cancel Pirhanna Mario (at least for the time being) to make it. Well, I feel the time has come to explain what ReC is, and what I plan to do with it.

ReC stands for Reality Check, and is the title of a comic that I have been working on for at least the past two years. I worked on it for something to do at first, but then I really got into it, and two years later, it's got over 50 characters and 8 completed chapters or "episodes".

The story of ReC is centered around a teenage boy named Marche, who up until the time of the first episode, has had a fairly normal life. Lately, he's noticed that his best friend, Max, has been dissappearing from school for days at a time, and whenever he tries to talk to Max about these strange events, he's lucky to get a raised eyebrow in response.

So, one day, after school, Marche decides to tail Max, to find out what he is doing. What he finds will end up changing his life forever. Max, face to face with an escaped convict, beating the high-holy hell out of him. When Marche runs up to Max to finally get some answers, he sees a strange figure on the rooftop of the building behind Max, with a black light gathering at the tip of his index finger, which is pointing at Max.

Marche doesn't stop to think, he shoves Max out of the way and gets impaled with a beam of black light. When Marche regains conciousness, he hears people talking around him, three of the voices he recognizes: His older brother Nick, Max, and his other friend Ritz. He overhears them and a few others talking about him. Something about his chances of survival... one of the voices talks about a possible cure, but there is a very high chance of a side effect. On the slim chance that he would survive, Marche would gain the power of darkness. Nick doesn't want to hear any of it, but Marche just manages to say: "Do it."

I plan on making ReC into a multi-part interactive movie and/or game. I just need to learn some basic ActionScript, make some custom characters and backgrounds, and we just might be in business here.
